Episode 8: FACULTY- Meredith Elmore

In this week's episode, we sit down with Meredith Elmore, Portland's Drama Teacher, to discuss the ins and outs of putting a play together directly off the heels of the completion of our Spring play, 'Peter Pan'. Throughout her time as a drama teacher, Meredith's position has provided her with the unique opportunity to see the way each student has used his or her individual creativity to glorify the Lord, from the long nights in rehearsal to the final bow on performance day. 

Episode 7: FACULTY- Jaclyn Miles

We're sitting down with our Spiritual Life Director, Jaclyn Miles, on today's episode of Eagle Eye Perspectives to discuss the spiritual climate of our students and how to best serve them as they learn about and discover the true character of God. Through her position at PCS, Jaclyn has had a front-row seat to all of the incredible work the Lord is doing in the lives of our students and how each one of them is modeling the "child-like" faith that Jesus so deeply emphasized in the book of Matthew. 

Episode 6: STUDENT- Parker Price

In this week's episode, we sit down with another one of our seniors, Parker Price, to talk about athletics and how to use our athletic abilities to honor the Lord. Throughout his career playing baseball for PCS, Parker discovered how to turn the baseball field into a mission field and that his identity is found in who the Lord says he is, not in the statistics that show up on the final box score. 

Episode 5: STUDENT- Emma McDonald

In today's episode, we sit down with current PCS senior Emma McDonald, whose heart for mission work is evident the minute that you meet her. After spending time serving on mission in Poland and the Dominican Republic throughout her high school career, Emma quickly learned the value and importance of serving others for Christ, and how these trips can impact not only those that you're serving, but yourself as well. 

Episode 4: FACUTLY- Patti Davis

In today's episode, we're joined by Mrs. Patti Davis, one of our longest-tenured teachers still working at Portland. Mrs. Davis' teaching career has spanned across several decades in both a public and a private school setting and, as a result, has seen a wide variety of changes thanks in large part to the age of technology. But one thing that has never changed has been her impact on the students that enter and exit her classroom, evident in her relationships and connections with each and every one of them. 

Episode 3: STUDENT- Sophie Mason, Alyssa Madden, Mebrate Veal

In today's episode, we spend time talking to three senior girls - Sophie Mason, Mebrate Veal, and Alyssa Madden - to discuss the importance of living life within a Godly community. Thanks to a bond that formed early in their high school careers, Sophie, Alyssa, and Mebrate quickly discovered just how valuable it can be to find a crew of people willing to bear each other's burdens, hold one another accountable, and celebrate all of the joys life has to offer.

In today's episode, we sit down with current high school senior Brevin Payne to discuss what it means to follow the Lord's calling for your life. With the help of trusted mentors and leaders, Brevin discovered a passion and love for ministry work that he hopes to use to further the Lord's Kingdom.

In today's episode, we sit down with current high school senior Ryan Dolleris to discuss how his faith actually strengthened through the heartbreaking loss of his father. Through the support of his community, combined with the spiritual truths his late father instilled in him growing up, Ryan was still able to find the Lord despite experiencing one of life's most difficult trials.
